Barbara Quinn Smith McPhail, 77, of Carson, MS, passed away on March 9, 2021, at her home. She was born on June 23, 1943, to Houston and Nancy Viola Smith in Prentiss, MS. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Monroe McPhail, Jr.; three brothers: H.A. Smith, Truett Smith, and Eugene Smith; sister, Willie Mae Slay; step granddaughter, Eva Fulcher. She is survived by her two children, Ricky McPhail(Kathy) and Nancy Diane Fulcher(Gerald); five grandchildren: Casey Lee(Jeff), Shane Holmes, Dustin Fulcher(Kat), Courtney McPhail and Zachary McPhail; four great grandchildren; siblings: James Smith, Shirley Cavanaugh, Jerry Smith, Tony Smith and Kay Smith; three step grandchildren: Alton Fulcher, Sheena Burke and Gregory Fulcher; nine step great grandchildren. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and nanny. She loved each and everyone unconditionally. A special thanks to two of her nieces, Alisa Harvey and Stacy Stapleton for their help in her time of need. There is to be no physical service. Her service was when her spirit and soul left this sticky earthbound body and stood whole and well in the presence of our Lord and Savior.
